WP8 Watermark Textbox?

Has anyone ever heard of or tried using a watermark on a textbox inside of a Windows Phone 8 App?
I can't seem to find a solution that will work for Windows Phone only. The problem is that You can't use some of the libraries for WPF in a WP8 Visual Studio Project.

Solution 1

If you want to use Telerik control then use Telerik-TextBox for this. This will provide the watermark functionality. But this is paid control.
