i cant access my index page in wwwroot folder through localhost,when am entering url it shows that "could not connect to localhost" am using iis7 in vista.

Are you really running IIS on the port you are using in your URI? What is the URI?

Try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost: could be an IPv6 issue.
