account creation in website

Hi,
I am a beginner in software developing andi have seen in many website in which we enter into our account page by using our username and password.In that account page we get details posted by others as well as we are able to communicate between each other ie comment on each others posting.can anyone tell me asp.net c# code behind for such a website or tell me links from where i could learn that.pls help me.
