whenever i publish a website in visual studio 2010,using IIS 6.0.. the site is published in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ folder but all the pages are visible and i have to set the path like localhost\folderName\fileNameToOpen.aspx.. Is there a web to publish such that i only needed to enter localhost\name and my start up page appears?? i tried to publish it many times IIS but i am helpless.. Ny help..

Sounds like you need to set a default page in IIS.
