making drop down menu width uniform

My dropdown menu background takes size of the items, hence unequal...what can be done to make them equal??

Solution 1

There could be a number of ways to solve this problem
1) Set the minwidth of the li control.
2) Write some JQuery to pad each li to the max length.
3) Use a table-cell.
E.g.

CSS

li {
  display: table-cell;
}
