Delivered or pending in online sales and inventory

Im creating an online sales inventory system.

How can I make that every time a customer will purchase a product, there is something in database that trigger if the product/s is delivered or pending. For example, if 1 means delivered if 0 means pending.

Add a status column which can hold the enumerations that you require.
