Keygustures implemented in my wpf application doesnt work sometime?

Hi guys,
I a user control with a set of buttons alone and each of these buttons have commands associated with them.I have this user control used in a customized tab control class.The key gestures and command bindings are defined inside the tab control class.The key gesture will work fine when tab control is just selected.After when the container control of this selected tab item is subjected to some animation on a button click(button outside the tab control and its container) the key gestures will not work.Anybody please help me to find a solution....
