Issues on a Shapoint 2013 App catalog

Hi,

I have an issue on my sharepoint 2013 App catalog.

If I add third party apps it downloads the app perfectly after I trust it but then stands saying" We are adding your app... click here to cancel" I heard it can take 30 min to add but this is going on for days. it doesn't give me the deploy option.

can you help?

I was experiencing what appears to be the same issue. I could successfully add an app to the catalog however when I attempted to add an app to a site collection, it would never complete, just said "We're adding your app".

Turns out the App Installation Service which is suppose to run every five minutes was not running at all. Attempts to 'Run Now' returned me to the services list with no error or changes. No log entries to understand why it was doing nothing. A little more research turned up that my SPTimerV4 service on the farm server was not running. When I attempted to start the service, it complained the credentials were incorrect. I updated the credentials and after a few minutes, the App Install Service was performing as expect. Follow up showed that I could now install/uninstall apps immediately.

Summary: On the farm server...

Start > Administrative Tools > Services. Look for SharePoint Timer Service and SharePoint Administration. Both of these need to be running for the timer service to function correctly.
