what have you tried?

I would think what are you trying to compare? the combobox selected value or combobox selected text?

if comparing the text try this:

VB
if combobox1.selecteditem.text = txtname.text then

else

end if

if comparing the value try this:
VB
if combobox1.selectedvalue = txtname.text then

else

end if

VB
If Not String.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(ComboBox1.Text) And Not String.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(TextBox1.Text) Then
            If ComboBox.Text = TextBox.Text Then
                MsgBox("Match")
            Else
                MsgBox("Not Match")
            End If
End If

IsNullOrWhiteSpace is not a member of string

you means IsNullOrWhiteSpace does not work on comboBox
try like this:-

C#
private void comboBox1_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
       {

           if (comboBox1.SelectedItem.ToString() == txtName.Text)
           {
               //do something here
           }
           else
           {
               //do something here
           }
       }
