make a dot net setup with prequistics

I am making a setup file using visual studio setup project for my winform application.I'm giving all prerequisites (dotnet 3.5,crystal report basic for vs 2008,etc.).But When I run the setup in client machine it shows error and telling that components can not be installed.I am running setup.exe not the msi.

Please help me with a concrete tutorial to make a setup with all prerequisites of dotnet project.

If the machine has no dotnet framework the prerequisites can install framework.If the machine has this then it will be skipped.Am I right?

Following will help.

1. Add Prerequisites of .NET Framework in Visual Studio Setup Project[^]
2. Make an Installation program for C# applications and include .NET Framework installer into the setup[^]

the first option is showing error "An error occured while installing system components for setup-------------"
