how to calculated how much time spent ?

hey Code Project , my question is if i want to calculate how much time spent completing particular job (for instance in 5 meetings and spending 4-5 hours in every meeting)what datatype should i prefer in SQl database ?

i have tried real but its not giving accurate result , any other suggestions please ??

Integer: and hold the number of minutes. You can then rework that into whatever format you need later, and the maths all becomes trivial.
