Hi All

I have two registry entry

one with ""(inverted commas) as prefix and suffix(i.e,"C:\Program Files\......" ).

and other one without ""(inverted commas)(i.e,C:\Program Files\...... ).

will it make any difference?

If yes i want to remove that inverted commas.

I am unable launch the .exe (which is build in MFC) which has inverted commas as suffix and prefix.

Thanks and Regards

Cannot you remove the wrong entry and use just the right one?

Does it make any difference? Yes, because those strings are different. :-)
Will it make any difference if you change the quotation characters? It totally depends on the application of this registry value, which you did not bother to share with us. The registry is nothing but a kind of media where you store some values by keys organized in a tree structure.

You can preserve existing value using Regedit menu item File -> Export. Then experiment and, if you want to restore the registry, just click on the exported file. :-)
