How to find transaction used and total log file .ldf size in SQL 2008

I want to find size of .ldf file from SQL 2008.

I have used below queries -

SQL

SELECT size*8192
FROM sysfiles

-- and -- 

select * from sysfiles

But, I am not get clarity regarding size returned by query.
Even, its not closer to the size I am getting from filesystem.
