How to access database from another PC?

I want to publish my project. But i unable to transfer data due to version problem on server. I am using 2008 R2 & There are Sql server 2005. So what can i do in this case. also i am trying to access database from another computer using IP address but it not successful.

Then you will need to change your project to work with that version.

To get data from SQL Server in LAN/WAN, the tcp/ip or named pipes connection must be enabled. See:

Configure a Server to Listen on an Alternate Pipe (SQL Server Configuration Manager)[^]
Note that sometimes it is needed to Configure a Windows Firewall for Database Engine Access[^]
