I want to display code and description column on a combobox and be able to display only code on the combobox when a particular row is selected.

Try one of these:

Searchable MultiColumn ComboBox with Linked TextBox[^]

A data-bound multi-column combobox[^]

Multi Column ComboBox[^]

There could be more multi-column combobox articles here on the CP... There's a good way to find out: Use the search function!

NOTE: All of these are in C#, but as I've pointed out several times: You don't need to have the code in VB, just compile it to a dll and reference it from your VB project.

This[^] thread on DaniWeb (Scroll down to answer from Microdeveloper) has some code that claims to be able to do this.
