How to write data to log file for windows service

Hi all,
I have windows service in win2003 server where it is having a job. It runs successfully there and writes log data to a log file. But now the service is migrated to win 2012 server and job is unable to write log to a log file. It can write only starting and stopping of the service. Can anybody help me on this please.
