R.java file not generated

I recently updated the android studio sdk to adt 22, all repositories and tools. now there are no r.java file generate with the creation of project.

Solution 1

Try again after explicitly cleaning your project. R.java should be re-generated.
If that fails, check your resources (xml files) for errors. R.java is generated from those resources and if they contain an error, generating won't work.
