Hi everybody,
I had made a database in sqlserver2008 on server,i create the login for tat & assign it some roles,i want to connect this databse remotely,i had made the following steps on the server
1- enable TCP/IP
2- restart the sqlserver
3- add exception to windows firewall,sqlserver(process) & oso port 1433
but when i try to connect from my sql server instance to tat remote sql server using the IP address of the server,Sql authentication,login & password i get the following error msg,

'A network related or instance specified error occured while establishing a connection to sql server.The server was not found or was not accessible.verify that the instance name is correct and that sql server is configured to allow remote connection (Provider: Named pipes provider,error 40- could not open a connection to sql server)(Microsoft sql server Error, 53) '
i had serached alot but nobody gaves me a clean idea,plz help me in this regrad
