How do send a character in android?

hi I am computer College students.
this is a project that control a motor by android.
I want make android app that Connected to Bluetooth Modules hc-05 and Arduino Uno . this app Must send a data for example "left", when I press one button . After receive data, Arduino Engine Start.

I don't know how make app android in eclips!
code!!!!
please help me.
