WIA has invaded my computer and it want to remove it. I don't know how it got there. It has displaced arcsoft photo Studio as my default Scanner program. I don't know how to use WIA and I dont want to learn.

2. Don't publish your e-mail here, you will only get spammed.

There is no uninstall for WIA, it's part of Windows.

Uninstall and reinstall your scanner software.

Or (in Windows 7 at least) you could go to "Default Programs" in your start menu and select "Change Autoplay settings". At the bottom of that screen you find a section Devices where you can configure it as desired... otherwise follow Dave Kreskowiak's advice.
