how can I recognize face in video sequence and track it?

hello;
can somebody help me in my project, wich is face recognition and tracking in videos with opencv c++, I want to detect face and extract invariants features of this face then save them in a vector to use it later in recognition, In other words,, whatever the position the face in the video I can identify it and detect it,, I need an algorithm or method please help me.
