My first experience helping a friend with a new Win8 laptop was not good, and I hope it is not a sign of things to come as more friends and family start replacing computers. The initial problem was getting a two year old all-in-one wireless printer setup. (which took a lot longer than it should have) The printer works, but the printer software for desktop scanning, etc. is not supported. Job done, and I can go now...not so fast! I was there for another two hours answering questions about 'how do I' and 'where is'. Oh, how I wish MS had put in a simple option for 'Classic Experience'! If I start charging by the hour, this might be a good thing!
Just wanted to come here one last time(?) before the world end. I admit I'm scared about this little bit. But yesterday night I got a tight sleep. BTW I have finished my homework so I don't have to worry about next school day(Monday).
Still I hate those replies on my last message. That's why I didn't come here after that.
And thanks to Mr. V & ihoecken who suggested movies on my last message. We bought Narnia & Indiana Jones series.

Unfortunately you missed it, it happened just over three hours ago. We had hoped that only a select few people would have been transported to this dimension ... or maybe they were and it's me that got left behind.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.
I am just settling in after our works Christmas lunch, ready for a slow afternoon aglow with Cava.
It seems the world has ended & I'm in my own personal hell. Someone has deemed it acceptable to pipe Radio 1 through the speakers. I can't even drown it out with my headphones, I need to cultivate a liking for heavy metal.
I prefer the classic view of the documentation at MSDN and TechNet, and now it appears it will go away: >> This view of the MSDN and TechNet Libraries will >> be replaced soon with the Lightweight view. Try it >> now by clicking the Lightweight link above.
In my experience the "Lightweight" view makes the information generally less accessible because it lacks a decent "content treeview"
