how to create RDLC reports

Hi,
I wanted to create RDLC reports for my .net application.
I wanted to know that should i create these reports in different application if this is the case then how can i integrate these two applications.
Or
can i create the reports in the same application if so how i can create please tell me the complete procedure.
And how can i host this application on my domain.
Please help me i am new for this kind of work& environment.
platform i am using:
VS 2008 version 9.0
MS .net framework 3.5 sp1
sql server 2008R2.
