I would like to ask ; how we can create setup project in vb.net using visual studio 2010. since I have sql database . and shall i change the connection string in the coding ?

Not sure exactly what your asking; are you asking for help with a database setup project or how to start a new project?

connection string can be applied either in coding or in config file depening on if you want it accessable to others or not.

Well, if i'm understand your question properly you need to develop setup package with help of VS tooling.
So you basically need to create Setup and Deployment project.
