where to set cache-control max-age for page speed

Hi,

Am beginner of this kind of work, i need to increase the page speed of my website done in HTML .

I googled myself but nowhere getting the basic information.

I need to be done this in HTML with iis server not php and Apache servers.

Can anybody assist me on this ..

PS: My website is hosted on Windows server 2003, IIS 6.0. The website is developed in HTML

cache-control is a http response header and needs to get set on HTTPResponse

Am using html not asp.net

The site hosted in shared host and am using IIS 6.

I need to give cache expiry for each images,css and javascript.

Hello,

Check whether the provider allows running AdsUtils.vbs or not. This small vbs allows you to change certain setting in IIS metabse.
