how to get a network device name from a given ip address

Hi all,

i need to get the network device name for a given ip address...

i tried with dns.gethostbyaddress adn dns.getHostEntry both didn't help...but i am able to ping those ip's

help me on this..

This will work on the local machine.. but i need to access the the device(its a CPE)
