They did quote you as the author and claimed that they "translated" it.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

It's true that they quoted me, but they still aren't allowed to re-publish it, as the CPOL says (specifically, section 3b).

Pretty good translation, actually. FOX should update his article

Hi,
our article Raspberry Pi as low-cost HD surveillance camera[^] had a few hundred thousand views already.
Now the views counter has been reset to 3000 something.
We've not received any info about this, I've just found out by myself.
Why's that?? Any explanation?
|
|
|
|
|
No no no. The counter wasn't reset - it rolled over!
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Oops, I did it again. A little logic/race condition error that would only show up on articles read at high rate, probably by a crawler. I've corrected your view count.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Uuuups, it did it again: the counter of the article is down to 18k again...
Can you please fix again?
Thanks

I would like to see a kind of forum where you can make requests for articles on a specific topic.

Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

No I meant a forum where you can post ideas for articles that you would like to see.

Neither one of the people listed as closing this article have written an article for CP, or a Tip/Trick: [^].
Of course, relatively lower reps, and the fact of not yet having written at least a Tip/Trick, doesn't mean these two question-closers are not illuminated masters with psychic powers. I certainly respect their achievements to date.
And, yeah, the OP's "question" was kind of borderline, I admit.
But, should we "throw out the baby with the bath water," when CP MVP's take time to respond and post working code ?
thanks, Bill

I agree - maybe it would be a good solution to make the amount of required reports to close a question depending on the reputation of people already having answered; or silently ignore reports from members with a reputation < X ?

Hi Sebastian,
May I congratulate you on your outstandingly thorough and helpful answers on many QA questions in the last few months ! It is heartening to see someone "paying the iron-price" to earn their rep
This problem is a bit sticky because those who may not have high reps are also important members of our community, and no one wants to de-value their common sense, and potential contributions, no matter what areas of site participation they choose to invest in.
My personal view is that if a number of answers have been posted, and voted on, comments made, etc., the question ... and its answers ... should stick around.
cheers, Bill

What if it is Griff telling them, that we don't do their homework or something similar?
What if it is a spammy question with spammy answers/comments?

Sorry, I don't get it. Please enlighten me. Also I don't think I included anything in this conversation, I just replied apart from my initial suggestion which I don't think is what you're aiming at here.
edit: In case your link doesn't open the search that you meant to show to me and you're talking about posting "we don't do your homework" as an answer instead of a comment - yes, I also have posted some as answers. But I decided to stop and did stop doing that well before posting here. As you can read from my rep history graph, my activity here doesn't reach that far back yet and I hadn't formed an opinion on that until then.
