Under the Professional Profile Settings there is a Social Networks section in which we can add various social profiles.
I'm just wondering would anyone else find it interesting to have GitHub, BitBucket, Assembla, etc. profiles listed there as well?

Hi,
I would like my account to be deleted.
I had searched in the forums and this was the appropriate place for this post, according to
http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/244833/Delete-My-Account-As-Soon-As-Possible
Thanks,
Please send me an email when possible

There is now a way to accomplish this yourself:
- Go to your settings page: https://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/Modify.aspx[^] (or in the dropdown from your profile name)
- Check the checkbox below your profile picture ("Close my account")
- Save your settings (button at the bottom)

The bad thing being, once you've learned how to do it, and done it, you will never need it anymore again.
Then what purpose should that checkbox serve?
I guess it might not necessarily work instantly, because there might be some things to cleanup, and maybe the deletion is executed by a scheduled job or something?

Trust me it doesn't work. Try it if you don't believe me.

It does work. Confirmed today with my former account.

I edited the title of this Q&A question[^] which originally was "Why is CreateObject("Outlook application") not working". I wanted to change it to "CreateObject("Outlook.application") : Cannot create ActiveX component" but after clicking "Update question" the title got truncated to "CreateObject("Outlook.applicat...".

Yes. I tried to edit it again and faced the same issue.

Really? No spell-checker?
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Thanks, fixed (and no - no spell checker for our survey creator, unfortunately. I do my best and check and double check but typos do slip through.

They did quote you as the author and claimed that they "translated" it.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

It's true that they quoted me, but they still aren't allowed to re-publish it, as the CPOL says (specifically, section 3b).
The quick red ProgramFOX jumps right over the Lazy<Dog> .

Pretty good translation, actually. FOX should update his article

Hi,
our article Raspberry Pi as low-cost HD surveillance camera[^] had a few hundred thousand views already.
Now the views counter has been reset to 3000 something.
We've not received any info about this, I've just found out by myself.
Why's that?? Any explanation?
No no no. The counter wasn't reset - it rolled over!
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.
Oops, I did it again. A little logic/race condition error that would only show up on articles read at high rate, probably by a crawler. I've corrected your view count.
Uuuups, it did it again: the counter of the article is down to 18k again...
Can you please fix again?
Thanks

I would like to see a kind of forum where you can make requests for articles on a specific topic.
