Embedding javascript is asking for serious trouble.
However, we could certainly work a way to embed script you've submitted to us and we've checked. That would be kind of neat.

Perhaps it would be an idea to let us submit separate pages that could be shown in an iframe, perhaps using special tags inside the editor?

It would, and it's most likely the best/only short term solution ...

You see the question is highlighted gray. But when you go to the question: ASP.net Highlighting current tab in Navigation Bar in a Master Page.[^], then you see the score is 4. And I thought: if a question is highlighted gray, then it's a downvoted question. But this question isn't downvoted.

Hi CP,
I was just wondering there is no forum or anything much on Flash or for Flash developers.
Hope it would be good to add that one too if possible.
Thanks

You might want to add the usual notes at the top of each forum.

If it is so easy... could we add the section for industry/automation programming as well (we already spoke about a time ago)?
If you want I can send you a draft with a division in possible subcathegories.
Is the addition of article or tip/trick cathegory more laborious as the addition of a forum cathegory?

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpfull answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Hey Guys....
I am not able to get whether forum for Flash is added or not from your discussions.
Note: I am new in here so apologies for mistakes if any

Hi CP,
This a suggestion.
When we open our own profile and hover on any Privilege listed inside the Privileges tab, the ToolTip comes saying
"You have the rights to perform this action".
But when I go to any other member's profile and hover on any Privilege, then I can see the same ToolTip saying
"You have the rights to perform this action", which is wrong.
It should say like "[[[Current_Member]]] has the rights to perform this action".
Thanks,
Tadit

Hi CP,
If you check the question Microsoft Dynamics CRM...?[^], you can see that the OP profile is shabarnadh.vempati[^].
Again, check the comments on the question by shabari7[^] (which is actually the OP), but the name is appearing different in the comment, which is confusing.
May be at the time of adding comment, OP has different profile name (shabari7) and after he/she updated to the new name (shabarnadh.vempati), it is reflecting in the question, but not in the comments.
Thanks,
Tadit

The user changed his name.
On forums, if you change you name then the name against your old posts doesn't change. This is different to Quick Answers.

Yes, I knew this. But, the name should be changed/updated right ?
But I don't know why the old name should appear for the old posts, please explain me...
So, are you saying that in the question the old name and the updated name will appear for same member ?
Is that fine ?

First of all this seems not like a bad idea - But the CPOL says under artcile 3e the following rules about distributing an article:
CPOL 3e:
The Articles discussing the Work published in any form by the author may not be distributed or republished without the Author's consent. The author retains copyright to any such Articles. You may use the Executable Files and Source Code pursuant to this License but you may not repost or republish or otherwise distribute or make available the Articles, without the prior written consent of the Author.
Most of the articles are published under the CPOL. Every author would have to give the permission for downloading his or her article which would cause a major chaos because you could get some of the articles for download and some not.
And I don't know if the other available licences even would allow you to download the article.
Since the sync problem between the different servers is still existing and the rep points for some members are still going wild - For Bobs sake let the hamsters first fix these bugs and do not bring up additional options where they can add other bugs!

...permanently shut off the friggin' notification bar at the top that's constantly reminding me that I can "Sign up for our free weekly Web Developer Newsletter."
If I click the close button, it closes, but it reappears a few minutes later.
It is true that I am not signed up for the newsletter, and I don't care to be either because web development is not interesting for me!

I just gave my approval for an article, and the system stated there are '3 Reports'. I think that should say something along the lines of 'X Approvals', as the word 'reports' may make people think they clicked the wrong thing.

It's not just counting approvals - the value includes all reports, positive and negative. It just indicates that your vote has been counted, without telling you how others have voted. I think the idea is that it doesn't affect your vote - you don't change your vote to "follow the herd" as might happen if it told you "1 approval, 4 'No way José'"
If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

I have to say this also caught me out when I first approved an updated article. I was super careful the next time and went to check the Latest Reputation Events to makes sure the two approvals showed the same activity.
My 2 cents: The text says Approve or report this article and the popup menu has a Publish section (with the approve menu item) and a Report section. Given that, I think most people would be surprised to be told they just added a report when they in fact selected the approve menu item.
