@Nish,
Nish Nishant wrote: He submitted his article to a 3rd party who rejected it due to the warning
Not quite. If I have submitted the article to journal as a copy, no problem would have arisen. Point is, a journal wanted to place exactly a link to my article on CodeProject as direct citation of CodeProject. And this was rejected due to virus warning for CodeProject. Therefore, I do not have a problem publishing my content on other resources but rather referring CodeProject resources on other resources.

Unfortunately AVG are not being responsive here. I've contacted them several times and nothing.
Their business model seems to be "make lots of noise so you feel they are doing a good job". Except it's easy to show they have false positives in some situations, and don't protect you in other situations.
I've never been particularly impressed with the FUD tactics of anti-virus companies, and this whole issue pretty much sums it up.

Quote: Hello Chris,
Thank you for contacting AVG.
The detection of your URL by AVG is incorrect. The detection will be removed from an upcoming AVG update. Please make sure that your AVG is updated with the latest virus database:
1. Open AVG.
2. Click the button Update now, or Protection is up-to-date to check for updates.
3. Once a new virus update is downloaded, AVG will not detect the file any more.
Best regards,
AVG

@Chris Maunder, all, Thank you so much for fast resolution of this ridiculous issue. I was just shocked that so valuable and respectable resource as CodeProject, which I use daily for a decade, was blacklisted in so idiotic way!

AVG's latest update fixes this issue. No more false warnings.

The QA entry at I want to write all rows in column[^] has been closed. But I felt that OP was trying to respond to questions, and his/her problem was more language than anything else. Do you think it should be reopened?

I recently posted an article (when the article editor had plenty of issues) and it's doing pretty well!
However, despite the many votes I get and it being in the run for Web Dev Article of the Month I have not gotten a single comment...
I thought that was odd (there's always something!) so I checked it out and it seems it's impossible to post comments to my article...
Who knows what awesome comments I have missed in the past two weeks because of it?
Here's the article: Arrgh.js - Bringing LINQ to JavaScript[^]

Well, why didn't you say so!?
Also, here's your chance to comment

Not sure what happened, but you now have comments on your article.

I posted a comment to this question[^]. It shows up in my comments list, but not on the question page.

I've been doing some work to speed up the display for Q&A, including caching of the comment lists. Must have a cache invalidation error. I'll check it out.
As they say,

- Naming
- Cache invalidation
- One off errors

The error is still there sometimes.
I just answered a comment posted to a QA solution. Shortly thereafter, I recognised that I forgot something and wanted to edit the comment. But no comments are shown anymore below my solution while comments for another solution to the same question are shown.
Tried everything (reloading multiple times, following the links from my reputation history and list of comments), but no success.

Definitely a caching issue. Your comment displayed after the cache duration was exceeded and it reloaded. Must have missed something.

It looks like we had some network issues with the Redis servers right around the time you posted the comment, which could account for the comment not displaying initially. The cache does timeout and reloads, which explains why it is showing now.

I had a similar issue, but my comment did initially show up. I then got a reply from the OP but when I clicked the link, my comment and his reply did not show up. I just tried again and they are all there; most odd.

Seen similar myself, posted a comment, came back later and it was gone, came back and it was there. As they say; caching is easy, it's the un-caching that's hard

Is there a max file size limit for the My Uploads feature?
I tried uploading a 7mb file and it choked. Then, I tried submitting a 5mb file, and it choked again. I ended up having to break my upload into three parts to get it to stick (and yes, I had plenty of space left at the outset).

On my upload page it says right on the bottom:
"Total uploads must not exceed 10 MB."
What does it say on yours?

We'll dig in. Sorry about this. It should Just Work.
If you email myself or Sean the files I'll make sure they get uploaded if I have to type in the 1's and 0's myself.

Ref.: Re: Spam would be article[^]
There were wrong user profile links in the "About the Author" section of an article and on the profile page itself.
The correct user was "mandegar113355" with ID 12899565 (closed as spammer) but the above mentioned links where pointing to the profile page of the user "mandegar" with ID 1518749.
It seems that the numeric part has been stripped off to create the links.
