I want to close my old account on code project which has been closed due to some reason. I have created new account on CodeProject.
So, can I close my previous account and move all article from previous to this account?
Please do suggest.

Yes.. this was my account. Actually I have posted some images to find from google search. I didn't know this will be prove abusive. I have used these images only for making the article understandable.
I have asked to code project team to activate my account once so that I can remove these image but I didn't get any reply.
So, please suggest what I need to do this moment. Is this possible to reactivate my previous account or move my active article on this account.
Thanks

If CP staff didn't replied you - that's for a reason...They do not change - most cases - the decisions of the community without good reason...
I would advise you stop running after those - at least partly plagiarized - articles you had...Start fresh. If you have articles to write - post them, but make sure before that you understand the rules...You can ask as many questions as you wish to make everything clear...

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

I believe if I have made mistake then CP Team should tell to me that you are making this type of mistake. Actually I don't know that time that we can not use any image whether it is from google search.
But for now If my previous account can not activate then it should close and active articles should move to my new account.
Thanks

First of all - your previous account IS closed...
Your articles can not be moved, as were part of an account closed for plagiarism...
The rules for using ANYTHING, that is not YOURS originally is clear as fresh water...Read the license. Follow the license. No license found? Credit the origin...

Thanks for your reply. No problem I can start with fresh. But with my previous account, one article is live with my name. I hope if all articles as well as account has disabled then this article also be closed.
It will make bad affect on me that my previous account is closed but article is live. So, please close this article My live article[^] as well.
Thanks

Unfortunately, the "link removed" prevented me from seeing that it was the same article.

The thread was not about the deleted article but another one from the same author which is also part of the contest. I removed the links to avoid deleting by new reports.
My above post was just to point you to Sean's post to know why the articles has been restored (and should not be deleted).

Is this possible to remove my name as well from previous account article which has been closed?

Nope. It has to have an author.

Actually previous name and this account name are same. So, If possible remove the previous account author name.
Thanks

It doesn't matter that they are the same - it's the underlying id that's important. Your account name is purely a "human friendly" version. I cannot remove the underlying author id.

Don't get too sympathetic to this one Pete - he's not being entirely honest here...

Two of your articles from the previous account sneaked into the monthly contest, and for that can not be removed...They will be removed when the contest closed (about a week from now)...Sean will look for it...

I remember this one. On the 7th Feb your account was closed for plagiarism.
And I have deliberately not responded here for well over an hour so that I can calm down and not be rude.
You were contacted on the 19th Jan by the original author of the image, but you didn't respond at all.
On the 7th, it was noticed and reported, and the community decided to close your account.
As for "I have posted some images to find from google search. I didn't know this will be prove abusive." You used a paint program to deliberately remove the copyright notice from the original image!
ASP.NET Interview Questions for Beginners and Professionals - Part 1 - Web Development Tutorial[^]
That is one of the most deliberate and blatant acts of plagiarism I can remember seeing...and you want your account back?

Yes.. I agree with you that I did same for one or two images but that time I don't know the rule that we can not use any other images from any where.
I apologised for it, but CP Team should let me know that you should remove this images once. But there is not any notification from CP.
Again I am saying if I am getting earlier account then I promise that I will remove all the images which was taken from other source. Please suggest is this possible?
Thanks
