When I first open a post with code in it I get 2 lines of these buttons:
Hide Shrink Copy Code<br />
Hide Copy Code
If I use the perma-link from the message only the bottom line is shown (so no shrink button)
public void test
{
}
Noticed it on these 2 messages (in case it's something with the messages themself):
They are on the same forum so you can just use one prema-link and then click on the other message.
Message title:
VB.Net
Why I use explicit interface implementation as a default implementation technique[^]
message title:
Re: The issue with implementing explicitely (the reply with a question icon)
Why I use explicit interface implementation as a default implementation technique[^]
Chrome Version 41.0.2272.101 m
[EDIT]
I don't have it on my test code block so might be just something with those messages
[/EDIT]
[EDIT2]
Just noticed the expand / shrink buttons only appear if the code block is big (nice feature)
So that explains why the expand button isn't shown when using the perma-link

I'm on it. I've been at a conference for the last 2 days so am coding in breaks. Narrowed it down to the last, squirming, line of code. Will squash it and deploy.

At a conference and even fixing these (small, unimportant) bugs.
That's dedication
It doesn't get said enough so: thank you (and the entire CP team) for all the wonderful work you guys (and gals) do

I agree with Tom, thanks for all you guys do to keep this site up and running.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism.

Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

Fixed. Properly. I hope.

Looks good from this end so I'd call it fixed

There's an underline after "script" that shouldn't be there.
Can you please forward me (chris at codeproject.com) the confirmation email you received?

Thx for fast answer.
I will forward them in a moment...

Clicked the link and it worked first time.

Well. Thx very much.
I have 7 confirmation emails and neither of those worked for me. I checked also a moment ago, but still getting funny 'try to realise the truth: There is no page'
It is hard to believe that same URL can work differently from both locations, cause location should have nothing to do with it... Anyway my email is now confirmed.
Thx again

After I deleted my account[^] today, my profile states that my account had been deleted because I would've been abusive or a troll - which is not the case, just a single member apparently reported me for whatever random reason a few days ago, unrelated to my voluntary deletion of my profile.
I would like to know that authors I've left comments on their articles or members I've had discussions with in the forums will not have to assume that I've been kicked for being abusive or a troll when clicking on my user name. So I would kindly ask for a fix for that. Merci!

May I ask you if your decision was motivated by something that happened on this site?
Please forgive me if you find my question intrusive ; you obviously don't have to justify your choice. You are a valuable member of this community, IMHO (I mostly base this assumption on the answers you provided in QA), and your leaving just arouse my curiosity.
Wish you every success in your future, anyway.
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.

I've fixed it by removing that vote, and I'm going to change it so that it's harder for this to happen again.

For your information:
This is the contents of the mail I sent to Code Project's Sean Ewington and his answer:

Hello Sean,
Just for your information, as I have no screenshots to prove it again*, but the PVS.AVPlayer article's views went down by approximately 1.500 views.
That's more than twice the amount of views since you posted the last update for the article! :'(
* sometime ago (1-2 years) the views went down with approx. 18.000
Greetings, Peter

Hey Peter,
Could you please make a comment about this on the site bugs forum? You will need one of the devs to fix it for you, like what happened here:

Fixed.
We've been working with reducing the SQL load due to logging and a few articles got there PageView counts mangled, your included.
We've attempted to correct these, but the number we calculated might be a little low on some.
I recalculated yours from the logging database directly, which doesn't work for very old articles. Yours was young enough.

I need some help with my blog again
I wrote a new blog yesterday, and after that installed a plugin for code formatting. The plugin messed up my article pretty good, so I deleted it and that fixed my blog. Now the thing is CodeProject got my messed up version of the article. It was still in moderation queue, so I thought it would be best to delete it and have the fixed version pulled to CodeProject. That was yesterday evening and it still hasn't been pulled. Is it getting pulled once and am I out of luck? Can I trigger CP to pull my blog somewhere? Thanks.
|
|
|
|
|
There is a trigger. I pulled it. It said no new content
I don't think it does repeat pulls of posts. What about posting it as an article?
Thanks,
Sean Ewington

And then could you make it show up as a blog post again? It's really a bit short for an article and I want it to be clear that it's a blog.
|
|
|
|
|
Sadly no, I can't create a blog entry out of an article. It has to start that way.
Thanks,

Ok, I abused my old blog. Created it there and pulled it to CP. Will edit the blog manually so it looks as if it comes from my new blog. This was supposed to be my first blog that wasn't pulled from that site though
At least I know not to pull this trick again...
Thanks!
