Greg Utas wrote: It might be a new feature to prevent moderators from being influenced by previous reviews! I don't think so.
Making the list visible offers more advantages than the possible influence when reporting.
Even with the list and the possibility to say "pay attention" (which I try to do from time to time) to the reporters or approvers there still are articles getting approved with serious issues or getting reported for "spam" when there is no spam at all (confusing the filters).
No list would be a step back to what it was, and it was even worse. The new feature was to include the list after I suggested it a couple of years ago.
But... in the case the "influence" should be avoided, then it would still make sense to keep the list visible for us protectors / mentors / people with some exclusive badge and non visible for normal "high rep members" that can approve items in moderation

- Click on "My settings" in the left menu.
- Select the "Privacy" tab.
- Check "Close my account" checkbox.
- Click on "Save my settings".

Hello there,
When I tried to sign in to my account in the Google API v3 Manager application, "Signing in with Google has been temporarily disabled for this application. This application has not yet been verified by Google to use Signing In with Google." I get an error. The image of the error is below.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Where does this application come from?
This does not seem to be related to CP. Try to contact the editor of the application to get somme support.

If you were trying to login to CodeProject using your Google account, it should work. I've verified that it is still working.
There may have been an intermittent issue at Google's end, but all seems to be ok.
Please try again and let me know if it is working now?

Hello, I would like to know how to delete a question I have posted under Quick Answers.
|
|
|
|
|
open the question and move the mouse over the question text. A trash can should appear in the lower right. Click on it and follow the instructions.
|
|
|
|
|
No delete option appears when I hover over the question...
|
|
|
|
|
It is not "delete" it is the icon of a trash bin.
If you still don't see it (lower right corner of your question), then it might be because you are not allowed to delete a Q&A that has been answered.
If you can't, tell me the link, I'll do it for you.

Member asked two questions and both have answers. So it is like you mentioned, answered questions cannot be deleted.

They can, if you are Staff or Protector - but should we delete answered questions? I don't think so: someone has put effort into providing a solution, so that should be available for others with a similar problem. The main reason for wanting to get rid of answered question is so you can disguise the source - handing it in as your own homework for example. Strikes me as unfair!

But... I actually think you are soooo right...

Did I ask above for a possibility to delete answered questions?

The member posted a solution to their own question[^] which was nothing more than "I have solved it". I asked them to update the solution with the details of how they solved it, or to delete the question if they didn't think it would help anyone else.
That solution has since been deleted.
@RickZeeland had already posted a solution, but it was for Windows Forms when the question was about ASP.NET.
If the OP has solved the question but isn't willing to share the details of how they solved it, is there any point in keeping the question?

I have no problems that this one was deleted, but sometimes I think questions are deleted a bit too quickly, it happened a few times that a question was deleted after I put considerable effort in answering it.

Then, they were not deleted, they were nuked by reports.
Not the same (although same result)

Project in moderation: React-Redux Stethoscope[^]
No discussion board available, although it is spoken about it.
Edit:
Project got approved and the moderation item is a "older" version...
It looks like I got caught by some weird cache issue?

It might have been a cache issue, or sometime there is a delay in creating the discussion board for an article.
Regardless, it appears to be OK now.

Yeah, I supposed the cache issue too and forgot to delete the message, sorry.
Thank you for checking anyways

... it keeps switching to "Following" from "All" at random when refreshed, which reduces the QA list to a single item ...

I did a rewrite of the QA filter code over the weekend to try and narrow down whether we're incapable of actually coding, or whether it's a Redis data issue we're seeing (the jury is still out). I did make a change to the category chooser on the front page but will revert.
cheers
