It's certainly possible. We're discussing that issue this afternoon.

When submitting a QA solution, I get:

When I reload the page, the solution has been posted.

Same thing happened once using Chrome today.

Was that around midday your time? I can see there was a single database timeout that would have sent that error, but it seems the retry system kicked in without telling the error system not to bother complaining.

It affected everything I posted today, covering roughly midday to 4PM.

Thanks Chris!
I'll keep an eye on it for a few weeks and see if it has gone - I'll let you know either way.

And again just now: https://www.codeproject.com/Questions/5163244/Bad-data-exception-in-decryption[^]
In addition, the paste for that link was pretty slow - ten seconds or so? Then did not give the QA subject line or create its own link, I had to create it manually with the "[^]" button.

I posted one earlier today, and it went through perfectly. Perhaps someone fed the hamsters after midnight?

I think it's severely broken.
When I submitted the article, all of the instances of <T> where changed to <t> , and then the code snippets that had that code in them contained several instances of its attempt to close the tag with </t> .
Also, the cursor was not correctly positioned while typing, appearing to be a character behind.
Article in question:

Is there a chance you forgot to escape brackets with < and > respectively? Usually this happens when one does not escape them: they are treated as tags, and tags are automatically closed to respect ML syntax.

That's entirely possible. I'm gonna check it out at lunch and try to update it. That still doesn't explain the wierd cursor positioning

Which browser are you using? Were you editing in WYSIWYG mode or in Source mode?
As to the T -> t, that would be a HTML encoding issue. The HTML sanitiser will, as part of it's work, convert HTML tags to lower case so if you're seeing that then I'm assuming you posted the article while editing in source mode and entered <T> instead of <T>.

I think that was the issue for the T stuff.
My browser is FireFox on a Linux box.
I always edit in source mode. In actyuality, I create the article content offline, and paste it into the editor.
I'm gonna go back and make sure all my ducks are in a row, and edit the article.

OK, sounds like the ACE editor is slowing you down on your system. Next to the "Source" button is an ACE button that allows you to disable the ACE colourising. This may speed things up for you.

Even when at rest, the cursor is in the wrong spot, but I'll go back and check.

Just to to keep you up to date, the source-mode editing is completely unusable because of the cursor problem. It doesn't seem to matter which article I edit.
I'm using Linux with the latest version of Firefox.

I seem to remember that as having no effect, but i'll look at it. One day. When I'm not doing a billion other things.
