Your observation is absolutely correct. This happens a lot of time, that some Menu Items are not displayed
It does not solve my Problem, but it answers my question

Drop downs used to work in mobile view, but now pressing lounge dropdown has no way to access any other option besides lounge. Desktop view works correctly, with full menu.

On a phone or tablet?
This is by design on the phone, but I'm looking to expand that in a redesign soon. I miss the other forums too.

Phone. Worked three weeks ago, if I remember correctly. Have fun with it!

Two days in a row now I got an e-mail about someone replying to one of my messages; the email ends with: "Do not hit 'reply' to this email: To reply, click here."
When I click, I find a "Message currently under review" with content "This message has been flagged as potential spam and is awaiting moderation" and no means to reply. Example[^]
Suggestion:
the addressee, possibly qualified by sufficient reputation points, could be offered a way to (1) lift the moderation status and/or (2) reply anyway.
TIA

Or maybe the notification message shouldn't be sent until the reply has been approved?

that would be the preferred action on real spam
otherwise it is just an unnecessary delay...
does anyone know the recent spam/nospam ratio for the under-review messages?
I don't know how a message gets an "under review" status, however a good approach for early notification could be:
- give all members a spam counter, initially set at say 2;
- for each of his messages that get put under review, send an immediate notification when the spam counter is zero;
- and either increment (by 1) or decrement (by 1) the spam counter appropriately (don't make it negative though) at review time.

Good points.
So
1) we could see if there's an elegant way to add a note: "You have moderator ability. Click here to moderate this message", or
2) only send the notification about a message when the message is actually published. You don't need notifications of spam

Yeah.
You probably could introduce restricted moderator rights like so:
- assuming a certain level of reputation;
- only applying to messages that are replies to ones own messages.
- rights limited to "accept as non-spam" or "do nothing" (i.e. leave it to a full moderator).

Hi,
A picture is worth a thousand words..... so why can't I add a screenshot to my bug reports?
Thanks,

Well ... did you try pasting one?
Try WINKEY+SHIFT+S, then CTRL+V in the text box.
Do note this ONLY works in Sugs'n'Bugs - the other forums aren't as closely "policed" and some of our users would ... um ... post unsuitable material.

Never knew this. Did you skip the "drag a box" step?

No, I'm OriginalGriff. DalekDave is someone who follows my every message, whether he likes it or not.

Sorry? That doesn't makes any sense: Sugs'n'bugs is this forum ...
Open a reply to this, copy your image to the clipboard, then paste it while the text cursor is at the appropriate point in the message:
It should save the image, and paste a link into place.

Anybody else experiencing the lack of the red notifications icon on CP mobile site?
I can see notifications on my desktop, but not on the mobile site.

My historic email address is being retired by my professional institution, so I have just updated my personal settings page to provide my new email.
Unfortunately this appears to mean I've lost my 'history' and notifications setting (daily newsletter, etc.)
Is this to be expected?
Is there a way to recover those old settings and transfer my 'history' to my account under my new email address.

What do you mean by 'history'? As far as I can tell, your account data is intact.

if is look at Questions asked / Answers / comments made tabs I get 0/0/0 as the values, which suggested I have no history.
Also I don't appear to have received notifications of daily newsletter that I normally receive, nor notification of your reply/comment (the box is ticked), so I'm not sure what's happening and where the error is (the new email account is receiving test messages I've sent).

We don't send Newsletters to unconfirmed email addresses. When you changed your email address, it needed to be confirmed. I have sent you an email confirmation email. Please follow the instructions.

email (CodeProject | CodeProject Email confirmation) received at new email address and accepted.
I had had a password confirmatory email (to old email address) at '13 Jul 2019 18:49:37 -0400' which I thought was part of the update (as I didn't appear to get a proper log in after the change)
Keep up the good work.
Thanks.

As for the Questions/Answers/Comments == 0/0/0,
It appears that you have only used the Forums, not the Questions & Answers Feature.
Questions/Answers/Comments only are part of the Q&A Feature.

Ah, Thanks, that clarifies my misunderstanding - too much reading/following, not enough Q&A
