This is going on with me as well! Already deleted over 30 of the "same" email newsletters from Code Project! Web Developer Newsletter - IntelliTask - An Alternative Windows Version to the Famous Task Manager. Still getting one about every 4 to 5 minutes. Your server is going berserk!!!

Our apologies. A race condition crept into the code that only happens at startup, and due to multiple deploys this morning this race condition seems to have kicked in big time.

We're fixing (and I'll move this thread to Bugs and Sugs)

I like using custom CSS stylesheets (via Stylus Add-on) to enforce dark theme across the world wide web.

CSS

html, #newtab-window {background: #020202 !important}
* {color: #ddd !important;    background-color: transparent !important;}
img {opacity: .7 !important; transition: opacity .2s}
img:hover, a:hover img {opacity: 1 !important; background-color: #bbb !important}

Surprisingly 90% of internet works quite well with this. But there are the occasional websites that force white background via !important.

Example is What is difference of using string as hardcoded value vs string constant[^] with this style entry:

CSS

.container-entry {background-color: #fff !important;}

Please reserve !important only for your developers or end-users, but never in production.

PS: Your the first website I decided to actually tell of such usage. Also I think dedicated "dark modes" is generally a waste. As those are still something you must explicitly look for and enable. Whereas end-user CSS customizations apply implicitly and globally.

I'm flattered we're the first!

We're currently redoing our CSS from the ground up so things like this will be corrected. We may also add a Dark mode (to be decided). For me it's not a waste if there are specific colours we wish to use in a dark mode to ensure branding and display look good. It also saves people having to worry about their own custom styles. Plus, it's a CSS thing now (sorta).

There is no "opt-in" part in the graphic. He starts at "0" and goes up slowly. When you opt-in for all things you start with 300 points.

If I recall correctly, it hasn't always been so. The account is old so could it be possible that when the amount of items you can opt-in has grown over time, they have been automatically added to existing accounts without adding corresponding points? This would explain why opting-out results to negative points.

Of course this is merely speculation Smile | :)

I went to "My Articles", and it says "no articles posted" (the same for Tips). The article/tip count appears to be accurate.

I submitted a new article (Generic DAL Revisit - Making it Your Own, A Practical Example[^]), and it didn't bring over the one-line description or the "brief paragraph". Sean is editing it (fixing it, I suspect), but just thought you should know.

I have added a phrase in my settings, as a message signature for my messages in the Lounge. However, the signature is not showing in my Lounge messages?? Confused | :confused:
