For example this one here[^] may be legimite or it may be plagiarized from anoother source. However, now there's no possibility to send a message while the blog is in queue. Why is that? This works really well for articles and tips.

The CodeProject API returns 8921823 as my user ID, but my ID is actually 8966127 .
Good job on the API by the way

If you look at the data returned for the v1/My/Profile call, you will see a property codeProjectMemberId . This is the value you were expecting. The UserId is a value that we use to identify users across our websites.

That explains it, thanks!

It would be nice if in forums one could expand all the children of a post when expanding it. Personally I often read the answer, answer to the answer and so on. So simultaneously expanding one "path" at a time would make this easier. Also when two posts in a chain are simultaneously open it would be easy to compare the texts.
Obviously this shouldn't replace the current mechanism which closes an open post at the time another is opened. This would just be an alternative.

I have searched this site looking for information about an API, but I couldn't find any information. I would like to build a mobile app to view, comment and answer questions (for example). Is anything useful available to access this site?

There is an API. It's early days yet - consider this an alpha version - but you can find it here[^]
.

When did that get made public!

Well, even though it's limited, it's still a very good starting point, so thank you very much! Do we have a place to comment/provide feedback on it? Or can I just post in this forum when I run into things?

I'm out here so don't get as much time to wade through the various forums, if it isn't on the first page, or on the frontpage, generally wont see it!
When I'm at home that's a different matter.

Damn! When was this announced?
Or was it just announced to a few select people? If so I am not thrilled at being left out despite being one of the biggest pushers for this for 7-8 years now.

Don't get upset about it. I've asked Chris specifically because I've offered to write a Xamarin cross platform version.

Hey Pete,
I know it's a little thing, but often it's these little things that are subtle indicators to deeper reasons. Assuming they informed you, and possibly a few others too, then I can't imagine it being unintentional that they skipped me. It's almost like telling me, hey, we'd rather not have you write an app using our API.

It was purely accidental. Pure good timing on my part. It's definitely not an intentional slight - more down to me pestering Chris and catching him in an unguarded moment.
