If your message is plain text then it's assumed it's truly plain text: no HTML, and everything in it will be HTML encoded when viewed. This means we can't add markers into the message that allow us to pull out the signature when you edit the message.
eg for me, the HTML is
...message text...
<div class="signature">cheers<br>
Chris Maunder</div>
So when we edit a message I post, the DIV with class "signature" allows us to pull out the sig and put it in the signature box.
In text mode the message is just
...message text...
cheers
Chris Maunder
I'm sure we could use a little AI to pull out signatures from plain text, but it's way too much work
cheers
Chris Maunder

A spammy member report in S&A: Spammer from moderation queue (Red&White)[^]
Shows as:

If you edit the post, it looks like this:

I have clicked on "edit" and then to "OK" without changing anything and it didn't happen to me.
Can you re-edit without changing anything to see if it is consistent for you?
Have you the "encode html" active in your settings?

It's consistent - I re-edited it to get the pictures, and it's unchanged.
Paste options are set to "best guess".

It looks like someone 'fixed' the problem, so of course I have nothing to look at to see the issue.
If it happens again, please report the problem in B&S and wait until I get a chance to look at it.

It's a bugger when that happens.
Can you roll it back?

Unfortunately not.
Forum Messages do not have history the same way the Articles do.

Have you tried to post it again as a new message?

That was me, sorry.
I just hit "edit" and "post message" without changing anything at all.
Next time, I'll do nothing.

As per title. Article lists usually fail to load fully on my iPad, and take ages if they do. I do have an ad blocker, and I don’t know what to whitelist for CP ads (and will gladly add the URLs to the whitelist).
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism.
Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

I'm PC, and have no noticeable problems - I use uBlock, and my whitelist is just "www.codeproject.com", nothing complicated.

Which list are you having problems with?
The link to the page would help.

All lists of articles have the issue.

I don't know. Every time I've seen your posts in moderation I've let them through. Some I have had to think about a while because they seemed borderline trollish.
It may be that someone got tired of seeing your posts in moderation so frequently.
P.S.
Spam and trolling are in the eye of the beholder.
You may be able to appeal to Sean to find out what post was reported.

Thank you for your informative reply May I please inquire as to what "trollish" means All I found on web was something to do w/ supernatural beings which I do not believe I am Also who is Sean and how do I appeal to him As for frequent moderation that may be the result of the automatic filter which has always proved to be inaccurate As for frequency I do not post nearly as frequently as many others Thank You Kindly - Cheerio

At the top of The Lounge[^], it states
Quote: Trolling, (political, climate, religious or whatever) will result in your account being removed. From what you described, it sounds like your post might have been rejected for criticizing some religious beliefs, which can trigger a pointless debate. That said, even long-standing members occasionally troll on topics that are off-limits. But such a post gets closed if enough members flag it. And it has happened that a long-standing account has been closed for crossing the line too often. So if you feel compelled to do it, try to keep it subtle.

Thank You for your informative reply I am fairly certain I have never posted on any such topic Apparently an error/bug has occurred It would be helpful and courteous to be presented w/ the post in question - Cheerio

If you show us the complete message it may help to find the reason. Or maybe @sean-ewington can work some magic.
