Hello. I have 2 table. I wrote below codes but after delete command parent row have been deleted but chid rows haven't been deleted from "B" table. Is there any wrong thing for relation or delete automation?

I am developing c# application, using SQLite c# wrapper.
Please read the query:
Insert into Employee Values('John',35)
Using the above Query I am able to insert once only.
But I wanted to insert many values supplied thru runtime in a method .
Ex:
Public void InsertData(string name, int age)
{
?
}
How is it possible?

We performed some tests and:
loading a combo with a pre-sorted ascii-file (read in, split, and add item one by one)
is about 3 to 5 times faster then
selecting from a (Access) database and setting the DataSource, DisplayMember and ValueMember properties.
Can anybody explain why?

Reading a text file has little overhead. The libraries for the operating system file functions are already loaded in memory, and are highly optimized for a simple task. When you read from a database, especially MSAccess, other files are loaded to communicate with the different layers between your application and the .mdb (i.e. OLEDB or ODBC drivers).

mmm, I thought in that direction, but actually when I debug the application, calling the DataSet isn't what takes much time, its setting the DataSource that takes much time. That's also the thing that surprises me, because you actually only set a reference no?

My guess is that when you set the DataSource is when your application calls the OLEDB or ODBC functions to actually retrieve the data. Having to communicate and translate between the different layers while retrieving data is the bottleneck. You go from .Net assemblies to: OLEDB libraries: to the Jet provider: to I don't remember what else in between.

I think Mdac is in there somewhere... 
But I'm confused, I thougth the data-adapter and filling the dataset would go through that bunch of stuff. setting the datasource should only be copying a reference of the defaultview of the dataset?

Hi.
I want to use serial port to open the port that is represent of modem port.Because I open and dial number with APIs,serial port can not open modem port again.
Please tell me how I can open modem in way that I can read recieved data from it ,with serialport object.

Hai!..
I want to take the value from one page to another page:
In my maker page i used datagrid and i hv to take that dg's row value (through.,
DataRowView) i transfered that value to nxt page.
Here in ItemDataBound event i wrote the coding for get the values to the DG's Row..
here i retrieve the value frm the DAtaRowView in a variable in a name as temp.
In ItemCommand Event i wroth that Response.Redirect("Models.aspx")
Now this temp value also transfer to that Models Page.., I tried the QueryString
like: Response.Redirect("Makers1.aspx?val="+temp); but its in Item Command event.,
but that value in ItemDataBound Command so., It assigns only null value to that one..,
Here i can't use session also...
How can we solve this one...?

hey,
I have devloped a program using visual c# express that performs a word mail merge using a com object.
Now i am pretty new to .net and c# so this is where my problem is. I would like to know how .net works, as when I "publish" the project to a folder on my pc, and run the setup file, the program installs and it runs fine.
However when I tried to run it on my laptop it would not run. It told me it didnt have the correct word PIA (interop). I also notcied that my laptop is running a different version of word.
My questions are:
Firstly does a pc have to have the .net framework installed to run my c# application?
How can I develop my c# program so that the automation will work with a different version of word, and so that it isnt missing the required PIA?
Thanks for your time. Any help or pointers is very much appreciated.

Firstly I am coming from the VB side so this may or may not be relevant. Yes, you do have to have the .net framework installed unless you disable the net framework for that project. Each version of Word (and all office applications) needs it's own PIA, however, they are usually backwards compatible. So I always develop and deploy the PIA for the latest version of word that I have. As an aside the PIA for Word 2007 is not backwards compatible at the moment.

If you are using Visual Studio, add a setup project to you solution and it shuold detect the dependancy and install it for you.

Hi,
I have created a deployment project. But there is a problem. After installing, when i click the icon of my application in Start Menu or desktop, it starts to re-install ( a progress bar runs fast for once or twice) and then the custom action for Commit executes. Only when i click the exe file the application folder, then i executes correctly, but you know it is not possible that user click the exe file from application folder. Any help, suggestion,link please....

I need to create a wizard based UI (windows forms), found the tab control but no property sheets. The Tab Control doesn’t appear to support a wizard mode; nor does it appear to be very flexible. Little hunting and pecking around (google & CP) doesn’t revel a lot. Any one have any tips or ticks? Perhaps an article somewhere?
I'm still in the learning faze with C#, so far its been um interesting.

The tab control has lots of bugs, and no wizard support.
I thought there was a new wizard control, but if I'm wrong, the easiest way is to impliment your pages as controls, and put them all on the one form which handles wizard state and moving between items.
