Yeah... strange the FF fonts are set the same as IE but they just look all thin and whispy by comparison...

Are you using IE7? Do you have "Cleartype" enabled system-wide?

IE7 forces Cleartype on for the app, even if you don't have it enabled system-wide.
Control Panel -> Display -> Effects -> Use the follow... smooth screen... -> Cleartype!

When you use the random signature option and resubmit something after a submit delay, it sometimes often gets added as another post. Is there a way to identify a post without using the signature?

As Joergen said, the dup detection is done server-side, so there's not a lot i can do...
...But, i can avoid rotating the signature once a post's been submitted. Which ought to allow the dup detection to work properly, provided you don't actually edit the post.
IMHO, the proper way to do this would be to associate a GUID with each new post, thereby turning duplicate submissions into a single submission followed by one or more modifications. This would also have the advantage of making it much, much easier for the client to determine whether the post had actually been posted; the sad fact is, right now i can often submit a post, wait a while, then refresh the thread and see the new post added - all before the original request completes. I've been toying with ways to do this all client-side, but i really don't think it's possible. Frustrating.

Yeah, on occasion, doing a refresh is a lot faster than submitting, and on others it's just as slow. So a GUID solution might be better.

(In all seriousness, once again, this is an area where we need a way to edit settings. I'd love to make this a user pref...but there's no UI to let you change it. Unfortunately, there aren't enough hours in the day. You want to try your hand at some JS hacking?  )

When you click on a username, you get the preview on the left-hand side. How about you add our own info under the forum watch list and every time a username, you replace it with that person's info?

I dunno. The mini-profile thing is kinda nice...but (1) it's a huge load on the server (according to Chris) and (2) it's not really sanctioned right now...so we haven't actively developed it. I don't like the idea of replacing content over in the left hand nav bar though.
