Problem I'm having is with the CSS Styling. I'm using a .ascx control and I've linked the CSS into that but it doesn't style the Accordion. At one point it was styling it on load then as soon as i clicked a Link Button the styling would disapear, now the styling doesn't appear at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

I have a very basic doubt in validator controls.I have to get the input for User Name ranging for min 6 to max 50 .How can i use range validator to chek the above condition.

You can rather use a regular expression validator.
This expression may be a good point to start.

^\d{6,50}$

I've got web application that calls to unmanaged DLL. For simplicity there is a function that just returns immediatly.

From VS it runs normally both in debug and release builds.

After web application linked in IIS7.0 unmanaged debug DLL version still runs from web project, but when the release build unmanaged DLL is put, it hangs after web application invokes unmanaged function, as I traced the cs code, and never returns.

What might be the problem?

im using DragPanelExtender to dragdrop a panel. i want to get position of panel on mouseup. i have the code that is working fine and is below:

My browser is not allowing java script..i created htm page wit java script..1st ma browser show'n activex block popup..n whn im allow'n it..still not display'n script part..tried on both IE7 and firefox 3.5..plz helpme out..

are you running from web server?

If you are using file:// protocol, means directly opening a file from hard disk, you will be prompted to have script block issue.

This will not happen if you publish your file. If still javascript is not running, check the path of the script file properly. always use relative path to your server.

Also place a <noscript> tag to check if javascript is disabled.

Well im nt using asp.net..simply txt..file jes writing short script in html tags..n saving as htm..bt it shud run script..so no means of convrt'n it into http or filesystem coz im jus using on txt file..s tyr anyway tht i cn run script on ma browser..

Ok..well what about my answer? How i run java script on my browser..tried evrything.. Turned off firewall..disabled filters popups and all but still no cigars..

I, and many others, find it hard enough working out what some people mean when English isn't their first language without having to try and work out what word they thought they meant. The clearer your explanation the more likely you are to get a useful answer.

Menu is not appearing in IE8

I am facing a weird issue in IE8 for the menu control of my aspx page.

I am having an dynamic menu control in my page. Issue is top menu is displaying, however the submenus under each menu is not visibile at all in IE8. Any idea why it is happening? Is there some error on IE8? Or should I do something to make it invisible?

It is visible in IE7,Firefox etc. Please help

I want to pass parameters from aspx page to RDL server report.
Using Cross posting i am able to access the parameters from the previous page and also the know which is the previous page.
Thus dynamically bind the report and pass the parameters .

But my requirement is i want to open the report page on new window.
Also know the previuos page(parameter page.)
I want to know whether querystring or session will work best for me.
if there are any other solution let me know.

Optimum solution is the context transfer. If you are using window.open.. the best way is doing through querystring.

Hi all,

by using above line of code i can able to open the excel file as separate file.
But i want to open that excel file with in the same asp.net web page not separately.
