I broke a tooth, once, when I was on a really tight deadline and couldn't afford to take time out to get it fixed.
Swilling sips of vodka over it to put the nerve to sleep was the only thing that kept me from killing myself.

They don't work; they only stop the pain for a few seconds -- and they taste fruggin' awful.
A quick sip of vodka intensifies the pain for two seconds, but then you're good for half an hour.

I broke a tooth in half over 12 years ago. Still too tough to get it fixed.
Been to the dentist twice since. Had a clean and polish both times and told him to faarrrkkkk off when he wanted big dollars to fix it.

More than likely. Once my tongue got used to it and stopped cutting itself by seeking it out all the time it's been fine. Don't even know it's there any more.
