7.5 years is nothing!
My HP HW6915 must have lasted me for 9 or 10 years, and still had several weeks of battery life when it was retired, fully working, in favour of an Android phone (that works inside the house, because it's on Vodafone).

Yes, but like, you live on Mercury or Venus or something, right?
Years are shorter there ...

Well, at least I could take mine out of it's box and use it!
Did you ever try unpacking yours, or was that the only way it could survive?

not sure what you mean by that, it hasn't been inside the box since I unpacked it way back then ...

I'm joking about iPhone break-ability: they scratch, melt in the rain, crack, bend, or catch fire in extreme cases!
And yes, I know that's not true of all of them...

OK. Well, I did threw on the ground a few times and it never missed, but the (protection) case just held fine (and so did the glass thankfully )

Ten years is nothing. My old Nokia 6310 is still going strong in the uncaring hands of my brother.

Have you considered putting in an ad for an old 2110 Nokia Panzerphone?
Might be pricey though, they'usually bought by handymen and hipsters.

You haven't lost a phone, you've gained a remote control and/or a numeric keypad for a laptop.

I picked up a new iPhone 6 Plus.
It will not connect to Wifi. At all. Regardless of how many times I reboot everything, update everything, yell at everything.
Apple's software, particular thread handling with UIs and network connectivity, is now simply embarrassing given the resources available to them.
The phone goes back to the store at lunchtime.

It's the access points fault.
Trust me on that, I'm told so by my wife.
That everything else works fine is totally besides the point.

Black and blue are likely, if you don't get your coat damned quick.

try changing your balance. If you sit more on your left butt cheek, it's orange and white. The right butt cheek will make it blue and black. if you equal out it will turn brown/gray all around...

...or is CP rather unresponsive today?
It seems to take ages for pages sometimes - minutes - but isup.me never shows a problem.
Everything else on the web seems to be fine.
Anyone else having similar problems?

Yes, CP often becomes unresponsive. Honestly, it is a very slow site. I just thought that is because the Canadian geese which flap their wings to generate the power for the CP computer room often became fatigued.
Very sloooooooww.
