Probably not - it means the spammers don't know that it's happening, and can't "tweak" the messages they post until they do get through.
Honest, if you look at the moderation queue, the number of "false positives" is vastly exceeded by the "true positives" - and if the detector was relaxed, then a good number of the ones we don't want could get through.
One weekend a little while ago, the moderation queue had thousands of spam items in it - even 10% of those getting through works Protectors and staff to the bone trying to kill them.
If it's any consolation, I get trapped by it from time to time as well!

The hamsters got in trouble with Chris for posting garbled data when they get drunk. Instead of trying to keep them sober, Chris decided it was easier to have a moderation queue, most things slip through but occasionally you get caught by the 'possible drunk hamster' net.

The lounge is being moderated by a pair of twins from Lithuania who run a bordello in Transylvania as a hobby. Rugged individuals that love KitKat bars and watch reruns of Gilligans Island by day.
