I hate to tell you this, but when I'm driving across our lovely continent, it is Belgian cars I fear the most. Without a doubt they're the worst and most annoying drivers.
Except Dutch caravans travelling in convoys of 843. Do whole towns go on holiday together?

Funny that you say Belgians are the worst drivers, we consider everyone else bad drivers.
But on a more serious note, it has gone down over the years. It got so bad I bought a dash cam for the car/motorcycle just to make sure.
I don't consider any European country significantly better/worse than any other, though really, Italy is worse than Belgium, no joke. We DO have a serious traffic problem around Brussels and Antwerp (traffic jams).

Nah! That's "cruising"!
Try this for size - I live 5km away from the office. Takes me anything from 10min to 2 hours to get through traffic. Dependent on school holidays, asleep-at-the-wheel drivers, accidents, rainy weather causing the traffic lights to go bonkers (yeah cheapskate city bureaucrats selling off contracts to incompetent electricians who haven't heard of waterproof light fittings).
And then just to rub salt into the already amputated limb ... load shedding (like in take a power dump) because our power supplier has decided to stall all future developments for the past two decades. While also selling off power to neighbouring countries.

Last night I had some chicken thighs to cook and I did a quick throw things together and see what happens.
Well shatter me elephant, they were very good. So good, I'm doing some more to take on our trip.
In a non-stick pan with a lid, heat a tablespoon of oil.
Add thighs, skin side up, and sprinkle with salt, pepper, sweet paprika and dried ginger.
Turn the heat down and cover. After five minutes turn and sprinkle again with salt, pepper, sweet paprika and dried ginger.
Keep it all covered and turn every five minutes or so, basting with the juices. After about twenty minutes they're done and bluddy good!
We had ours with salad and bread for eating up the juices/fat in the pan. You could go posh and thicken the sauce and serve with rice or pasta.
Did I mention it was abso-bally-lutely delicious?

Yeah, well, I would at least have expected a gin marinade... Don't tell me you've run out of that as well 
I thought of that because I just (yesterday) saw a recipe for whisky marinated beef bbq skewers, and it sounded and looked REALLY good! But knowing your preference, I'm sure that would work as well...

I think the bacon and gin are always assumed present so can be omitted from the recipe for conciseness.

Made (fresh) minced meat balls yesterday.
- Put minced meat in a bowl.
- Add garlic and chive. mix.
- add egg(s) and mix again.
- heat frying pan.
next steps repeat until bowl is empty. - take a (soup)spoon of minced meat and roll in bread-crumbs. (You can make them really round, but I prefer them irregular)
- Put minced meat in frying pan.
When fried take a pot and add something tomato juice like with some carrots and ognions. Add herbs as desired...
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice or french fries or anything really .
Add some salad.
