Unfortunately, it's not actually available for the original specs of the PI, both the A and the B model.
MS's offering is only available for the RasPi 2.
I'd actually vaguely considered giving it a whirl, including a purchase of the new model, but saw an install guide and was left a little under-whelmed by the actual features available.

The final 'welcome screen' is shown at a touch after the 6m20s mark.
That is to say - I've been lead to believe that it doesn't present the user with a desktop or even a tablet version of the OS, but instead offers an environment for the IOT. You still need to code and cross-compile code on a desktop for the device.
Raspian on the other hand is a free (as in money and at least in the pre-release version, personal details) and desktop-based OS. I've used it in the past to run Code::Blocks to write, build and run native apps. The unfortunate thing was that the PI built a trivial project of about 1kloc of user code in less time than VS2010 built the exact same project while running on a Q8400 Core 2 Quad. Code::Blocks on the Q8400 killed them both, badly.
I'm certainly not saying it's a bad thing - just that developers should be aware of the differences before they plonk down the $35 just to get a PI2 with the aim of getting a copy of Windows onto it.

They went with the Pi because it's become ubiquitous.

The fact that there are 10 zillion rPI's out there but virtually no one knows what a BBone is might just possibly have something to do with what MS decided to launch on.

It's not exactly surprising. It's not just that the rPI2 is much more capable hardware; but the original model uses the obsolete ARMv6 instruction set, and would require a lot more work on the part of the compiler team to get running. The new model uses ARMv7 which the Windows Phone people have spent years getting running well already and have done much of the porting work for the kernel already.

Windows activation is alive and well in Windows 10. Microsoft doesn't like to talk about the inner workings of its anti-piracy software, but it's clear from testing that Windows 10 included a major change in the way activation works. As long as it stops telling my my copy isn't "Genuine" (when I got it from them)

Even when users reinstalled a clean version of Windows on some Lenovo devices, the software would still reappear. But I'm sure it was really valuable software

To note: they are using an "BIOS API" specifically designed for that. See "Windows Platform Binary Table"[^].

A friend bought a Lenovo Yoga 3...what a PITA it was to get rid of that malware. The thing hasn't worked right from day one. Lenovo is on my black list, bigtime.

I have a Yoga 2. Will be my last. Not mentioned in the current list but was a possibility in the Superfish scandal. I think mine was early enough to miss it and it appeared to pass all the various tests. And I've not noticed anything unusual since. But it doesn't leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

IMO code like this hides real bugs, I'd much rather get a null exception and figure out why the variable is NULL instead of been fooled into thinking evreything is working because it didn't crash.
