For some fancy fruit, they tie a paper bag around each one… but that might not work for smaller figs.
Another trick I have seen is to hang fake fruit on a tree before and while real fruit is on the tree. It trains the birds and squirrels that there is nothing good there.

We don't grow figs around here, but e.g. cherries, nets are the standard solution.

Hi All,
Logging into the Time Sheet system yesterday I got "NONCE Error Detected", well I don't like the system and have said rude words about it. I have now proof that is actively out to get me! I get the impression it was written by non native English speakers, I hope it N Once or Not Once which would make sense. (I still think it's out to get me)

Nonce is perfectly fine jargon. It should never be seen by an end user. I'd say something went seriously wrong with the system and recommend you change your password on that system just in case the system crashed after it processed your password's plain text.

And then again ... A semi-educated user (or three quarters, or ninety percent) who is simply told "Something went wrong" might get pissed. I would.
You certainly should not treat your user as a fool. There are multiple levels between that presenting jargon without explanation. E.g. Starting the error message with "Authentication problem" (or maybe "Access rights problem") and a reference to the authentication server in question would have put the "NONCE error detected" into a useful context.
I wish that such concerns were common among software developers. They are not.

And I mean that really nicely: Pointer Pointer[^] all it does is load a picture of someone pointing at your mouse pointer ... completely useless, but ... strangely edifying and probably quite a lot of work.

Every time I play one of those newfangled Blizzard game with lots of explosive effects, I always lose track of my mouse pointer!

An ongoing hazard for me, even with the "pointer finder" widget turned on (press the Ctrl key to see where your pointer is). I also have my pointer sized up quite a bit.

The best approach is to try and eliminate
as many letters as possible through the first 3 or 4 choices you make. You can then get the solution, as it is not a word in common use.
That means that hard mode is going to be difficult though looking at my process, you would think that I solve the puzzle in hard mode. I do, except that I don't turn on hard mode in Wordle.
