I have written a small script in VBA which I need to deploy to a number of machines on a network.
Is there an easier way other than manually importing a .bas file into Outlook?
I found reference to a program called Desktop.VBA but every link on every site I found pointed to the same dead server...
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I need help i have a firewall, and some one keeps trying to connect to my comp, i need help getting back at this person so if anyone has any ideas please let me know? I have the persons IP Address. Thanks guys for all help

Simple. Find out who owns the IP address this person is using and report them. ANything you do to the other guy carries the risk that your going to get busted.\

Take a look at the System.Data namespace.
If you are using SQL Server, read about System.Data.SqlClient, if not, System.Data.OleDB.

hello i got little problem
okay u now see the main form
i click button
it opens another form lets says its form2
in form2 there is also button than open form3
in form3 there is close button
when i click on it
it close both form2 and 3
i want only to close form3 and let form2 opened?
how can i do this?
im using

i don get your problem. with form1, form2 n form3 as u describe, this code works for me the way u want. assume each form has a button1:

Hello
Please let me know the cursor attributes of the data recieved by telnet using Winsock. I mean the cursor location is updatebale or just readonly. For example if we connect to the server , it returns UserName : ABCDEF
Here the cursor atteched to UserName is read only & the cursor attached to ABCDEF is read write where in one can change the contents.
Please let me know the curcor attributes in VB using Winsock

Hi all!
I am currently trying to create some simple interactive games using VB 6. I came across this Map OLE control whereby when the user clicks on certain region of a picture, the program will be able to detect and pop a msg out.
However this OLE control can't seem to load on my VB 6 because it was meant for VB 4.
Much help is needed here.

1) i can't use picture as background.
2) picture in my mail convert to several character and my message

most of the time when some one install the patch then this is used to fix some bugs and some provide some new features for upgradation. so i want develop application with vb.net that can be upgradable later just installing patch a mini application delivered by me.i don't know the logic that how to develop a application in such a way that can be upgradable later just installing patch a mini application delivered by me. so please guide me.

Hi,
There are difference ways to patch an application. The easiest way is when none of the interfaces of your objects have changed. Say, you just changed a line like "a = a+1" to "a = a+2", that's not a big change. So you may consider just sending out a new dll or exe which can be copied directly over the old file.
If the interface of an object changes, say you change a method from "GetMyData (Byref a as integer)" to "GetMyData (Byref a as double). Would be consider a change to the interface of an object. Now all things which call GetMyData need to comply with this change. That can lead to all sorts of files being copied.
It seems to be the way these days that when you download update they just contain heaps of new files in their entirety. Back when I was a lad, we used a system called RTPatch. It used to work out which parts of files had changed and make a true "patch". Maybe its still around.
Hope this gives you a start along the path.

A patch is simply a setup which makes changes to an existing application
rather than instal a new one altogether.
If u break your interface, u need to compile your application again; if there are database changes (if the application uses databases), then you need a script(s) to duplicate all changes to your customers' databases - without losing their data!
This is your patch.

Hey,
I am trying to find a way to access the contents of a textbox in a child form from a control on the parent form and from other modules. Im sure this is simple and the info is out there all over the place but I have dug till I'm tired and can't find it. I found ALLOT of references on how to access parent objects from child forms but not the oposite.
Specificly what I am trying to do is control the wordwrap option of a textbox object in the currently active child form. I have made the textbox of the child form public but still when I try to reference the object I get squigly lines and it can't see it. Most likely because while Im writeing the code the child doesn't exist or something of that nature. Heres what I tried.
(the textbox I am referenceing is named textField)
activeMdiChild.textField.wordwrap = true
I get squiglies after the textField entry (because it doesn't exist yet I assume)
Is it possible to control objects by referencing the activeMdiChild at all?
In other words, is there any way to say (do "Xaction" to "Xobject" in the active mdi child form?

acecase i don c the problem. if Form1 is MDIParent n Form2 is MDIChild in the same project, Form2.Modifier defaults to Friend n this is enough.
this code works for me:

I'm sorry for not being more specific. You're rite, there is no problem doing that to the form before or when you instantiate it. What I should have been more cleare about was that I needed to access the childforms objects and properties for specific child forms that enheritted from that form and were currently showing. Someone on google helped me out on this though and frankly I am ashamed at how simple it is.
You use DirectCast e.g
DirectCast(me.mdiparent.ActiveMdiChild, _
form2).textBox1.WordWrap = true
to turn wordwrap on for the textbox in the currently active child form of type form2.

I'm developing an object hierarchy which is beginning to stabilize now, but still things pop-up where I need to add a property to an object. This buggers up my serialized data, as after I add the property, run the app and deserialize, the member count doesn't match.
Any suggestions on how to cope with this. I could do exports to comma sep to work around, but what do you do when you throw out a production system to the world. Writing data conversion stuff is a right PITA.

Yes, users will always change their minds so change is going to happen, but what I meant was that since the object heirarchy was in flux it should still be in the design phase. As it is now beginning to stabalise it can be moved to development phase. Changing it will still take some grunt work as you know already, but if it was changing so much before now I wonder why you were writing the code for it.
