.NET is a software framework supporting multiple programming languages and including libraries with coded solutions to common programming problems which is executed using the Common Language Runtime. How is that?
I guess the term "Technology" is added by the marketing team of microsoft to give it that little extra sparkle.

You could simply have extracted it from the text but would require just a hint of effort...
