Hi,
I have windows 7 home premium sp1 in my system. I want to use sql server 2008 in this version of windows but when i am trying to install sql server, it shows the compatibility issues. Can anyone tell me is it possible to install sql server on windows 7 , and if it is possible, how can i do it?
Thank You

There are a lot of possibilities. The first thing is that do you use 64 bit version if you're installing on 64 bit OS?

If that part is okay, check the following links: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955725[^] and http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/install-sql-server-2008-on-windows-7.aspx[^]

If they don't help, include the actual message from the compatibility issue to your post.

Is it possible? Yes, I have both installed on the box I am typing this from. I did it by following the instructions.

You said:
"it shows the compatibility issues."
Can you provide any more detail on this?
Are you trying to install 64bit SQL on a 32bit OS?
